TYAcan Foundation is a collective of amazing people striving to change lives of Teenage and Young Adult Cancer patients and survivors.

There are nearly 80000 new young persons in India who are diagnosed with cancer every single year and over 50000 of them die. ( Second in rank after road traffic accidents). Most common cancers are blood cancer, brain tumors, bone and bowel cancer ; while tobacco –related cancer of the mouth occurs uniquely in 11% of Indian youth. The most common reason why Indian youth succumbs to cancer, is lack of awareness even among doctors, nurses and public health workers. 

A young person, struck with cancer with a still developing nervous system, hormones, emotional system and social persona, is vulnerable in many ways.
