Richard Okwu

Richard Okwu has a diverse work experience in the field of software engineering. Richard started their career at FICO as a Java Developer and Application Support, where they supported and fixed defects in the integration of new web services. Richard then worked at Tata Consultancy Services as a Web Services Java Developer, Tech Lead, and Microservices Java Developer. In these roles, they developed web services, migrated operations to Java from C++, and developed microservices for loyalty and ticketing projects. After that, they joined NTT DATA UK as a Software Engineer, focusing on creating user-focused services and migrating monolith PHP backend logic to containerized Java microservices. Richard then moved to Holland & Barrett as a Senior Software Engineer, where they worked on enhancing and modifying microservices for full subscriptions lifecycle capabilities. Currently, they are a Senior Software Engineer at Tymit.

Richard Okwu completed their Bachelor's degree in BEng Electronic and Computer Engineering from the University of Nottingham, where they studied from 2010 to 2015. Following that, they pursued an MSc in Engineering Project Management from the University of Birmingham between 2015 and 2016.
