Tim Thimmaiah

Tim Thimmaiah serves as the Chief Executive Officer of Type Five since April 2023, focusing on designing and building innovative homes using software. In addition, Tim Thimmaiah is an advisor at Black Jays Investments, assisting early-stage founders in developing consumer-focused companies. Previous roles include Entrepreneur In Residence at Eventbrite, where Tim Thimmaiah supported initiatives in the creator economy, and Director of Product, leading the launch of Eventbrite Boost and Eventbrite Ads. As the former Chief Executive Officer of ToneDen, Tim Thimmaiah contributed to the automation of social marketing for over a million creators globally. Tim Thimmaiah's career also includes significant positions at TeselaGen Biotechnology, Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory, the City of Santa Cruz, and WISE Environmental Solutions. Academically, Tim Thimmaiah holds a B.S. in Bioengineering from the University of California, Berkeley, and a degree in Business Management and Economics from the University of California, Santa Cruz.
