Vishal Sood

Vishal Sood has a diverse work experience spanning over two decades. Vishal is currently a founding member and the Head of Product at Typeface since September 2022. Prior to that, they worked at Microsoft for 19 years, holding various managerial positions. Vishal served as the General Manager and Head of Product for the Connected Reality Business Applications in the Enterprise Metaverse division from November 2019 to September 2022. During this time, they led multiple product lines, pioneered a B2B SaaS application category, and built a highly repeatable last mile offering. Before that, they were the Partner Group Product Manager and Head of Product for Microsoft Stream, where they redefined Enterprise video and delivered a high NPS solution in record time. Vishal also worked as the Group Product Manager for Azure Media Services, leading the product efforts to build a scale video platform service in Azure. Prior to their managerial roles, Vishal started their career at Alcatel-Lucent Enterprise as a Senior Software Engineer.

Vishal Sood completed their high school education from St. John's High School in Chandigarh from 1982 to 1994. Vishal then pursued their high school degree from DAV College from 1994 to 1996. After that, they attended Delhi University from 1996 to 2000, where they obtained a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science.
