Sylvia Berg

Sylvia Berg currently serves as the acting department manager at Tyréns AB since October 2016, following experience as a geologist and project leader at Uppsala University's Department of Earth Sciences from May to September 2016. Before that, Sylvia held the role of researcher and lecturer at Uppsala University from September 2011 to March 2016, where a PhD thesis was successfully defended in March 2016, focusing on the generation of silicic magmas in basalt-dominated oceanic settings. Academic qualifications include a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Mineralogy, Petrology and Tectonics, a Master of Science (MSc) in Geology and Geochemistry, and a Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Geoscience, all obtained from Uppsala University, with initial studies at Umeå University.
