Christopher Buckley

Inspector General

Christopher Buckley serves as the Inspector General at U.S. Space Command since July 2023, following a distinguished career in the United States Air Force, where service began in April 2000. Buckley has logged over 3,000 hours in more than 45 aircraft types and held various leadership roles, including Chief of Weapons Development and Chief of Safety at the 412th Test Wing. Buckley's expertise in flight operations includes directing the 412th Operations Group's extensive test programs and advising on strategic air defense operations for U.S. Northern Command and Gulf Cooperation Council nations. Academic credentials include a Master of Science in Aeronautical and Flight Test Engineering from the United States Air Force Test Pilot School, a Master of Science in Engineering Physics/Applied Physics from Columbia University, and a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry from Westminster College.
