Daniel McNab is a U.S. Navy Captain with extensive experience in submarine operations and command. They served as the Commanding Officer of USS ILLINOIS (SSN-786) from 2020 to 2023, leading significant deployments in the Western Pacific and Arctic. Previously, they were the Director of Special Operations at US Navy COMSUBPAC from 2018 to 2020, coordinating all special operations for submarines in the Indo-Pacific. Daniel holds a Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the Naval Postgraduate School and has completed multiple advanced courses in submarine tactics and operations. Currently, they serve as the Deputy MOC Director at Commander Submarine Group SEVEN.
