Michael Safko

Michael Safko serves as the Deputy Director of the Legal Office at U.S. Space Command since September 2023, having previously held multiple legal roles within the United States Air Force from 1998 to 2023, including Staff Judge Advocate and Chief of International Law. Safko's extensive legal background encompasses various positions in military justice, ethics, and compliance. Educationally, Safko holds a Master of Law in Military and International Operational Law from The Judge Advocate General's Legal Center and School, a Juris Doctor from the University of Maine School of Law, a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology with an emphasis on Forensic Psychology and Criminal Justice from Castleton University, and an Associate’s Degree in Administrative Management from the Community College of the Air Force.
