Fernando Scasserra

Fernando Scasserra is an experienced technology executive currently serving as the Chief Technology Officer at Ualá since August 2025. Previously, Fernando held the same position at Kavak.com from July 2021 to August 2025, focusing on developing e-commerce, operations, and finance solutions for car buying. Prior to that, Fernando was the Sr. Director of Engineering at Mercado Libre from September 2015 to July 2021, overseeing KYC, AML, security, and a large team of engineers across Latin America. Fernando's earlier roles include Director of Engineering and Senior Engineering Manager at Mercado Libre, as well as positions in data engineering at HP Enterprise Services and Oracle. Fernando holds a Graduate Certificate in Logistics & Supply Chain Management from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and an M.B.A. in Supply Chain Management from Universidad Torcuato Di Tella.
