Patrick Van Eecke is a Partner at Cooley LLP, where they head the European cyber/data/privacy practice and co-chair the global c/d/p practice. They are a Full Professor of European IT Law at the University of Antwerp and also serve as a visiting professor at Queen Mary University and King's College London. With extensive experience in privacy, cybersecurity, and data governance, Patrick has been recognized as Belgium's leading lawyer and ranks among the world’s top IT lawyers. Previously, they held key positions at DLA Piper and Landwell, and they completed a PhD in Law at KU Leuven.
