Andrew Mao

Software Lead

Andrew Mao is a third-year student at the University of British Columbia pursuing a Bachelor of Science. Previously, Andrew worked as a software developer at Redbrick, contributing to the Chromium C++ team for the Shift Browser, and served as a neurology laboratory assistant at UBC's Djavad Mowafaghian Centre for Brain Health. Additionally, Andrew held the position of software lead for the UBC Thunderbots, where they played a significant role in designing autonomous soccer robots and achieved notable success in international competitions. With a strong interest in software design, Andrew is proficient in various programming languages and design tools, complementing a hobbyist background in both software and hardware.
