Tracy Brockman

Tracy Brockman has a diverse range of work experience spanning over three decades. Tracy is currently the Head of Cyber Security and HIPAA Security Officer at UBC since April 2018. Prior to this, Tracy worked at Shire Pharmaceuticals as a Senior Information Security and Compliance Analyst from March 2015 to March 2018. From December 2011 to March 2015, they were a Senior IT Security Analyst at UBC: An Express Scripts Company.

Tracy's earlier experience includes roles such as a Network Engineer at Aqua America from August 2004 to December 2011, a Network Analyst at Aqua America from January 2001 to August 2004, and a Network Administrator at Apple Vacations from February 1999 to January 2001.

Tracy also has experience in technical support and management roles, having worked as a Helpdesk/Desktop Technician at Computer Aid Inc. from April 1997 to February 1999, and as a General Manager at Golden Age Couriers for the year 1995.

Tracy started their professional career as a Maintenance Management Chief in the United States Marine Corps from June 1990 to June 1994.

Tracy Brockman completed a Bachelor of Interdisciplinary Studies (B.I.S.) in Leadership Studies from Villanova University, spanning from 2003 to 2010. In 2016, Tracy obtained a Graduate Certificate in Cybersecurity Engineering Core from the SANS Technology Institute. Tracy also holds various certifications, including GIAC Certified Penetration Tester (GPEN), GIAC Critical Controls Certification (GCCC), GIAC Gold Research Paper, GIAC Certified Incident Handler (GCIH), GIAC Security Essentials Certification (GSEC), ITIL V3 Foundations, and GIAC Certified Intrusion Analyst (GCIA). These certifications were obtained at different times ranging from 2007 to 2017.
