Wanda Anselmo is an accomplished scientist with extensive experience in safety science and translational research. At UBC since October 2018, Wanda holds the titles of Safety Scientist and Safety Data Associate. Previously, as a Postdoctoral Fellow at the University of Pennsylvania from October 2015 to October 2017, Wanda investigated human aortic valve calcification and developed approaches to prevent aortic valve remodeling. Wanda's earlier research at the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia focused on epigenetics in pediatric brain tumors and chromatin remodeling, while work at the Sidney Kimmel Cancer Center involved studying the Warburg effect in breast cancer. Wanda Anselmo earned a PhD in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology and a PharmD from Università della Calabria.
