Bas Masri

Bas Masri is a Professor of Orthopaedics at The University of British Columbia, where they are currently engaged in teaching and research. They previously served as the Professor and Head of Orthopaedics at the same institution from 2007 to 2021 and were the Surgeon-in-Chief at Vancouver Coastal Health from 2011 to 2018. Bas graduated with a Doctor of Medicine (MD) from The University of British Columbia and completed their Orthopaedic Residency there, along with additional training at the University of Alberta and a fellowship at the Hospital for Special Surgery in New York. With a robust background in healthcare and medical education, Bas has developed expertise in various areas, including orthopaedic surgery and clinical research.
