Mark Mac Lean

Mark Mac Lean is a mathematician at The University of British Columbia, where they have been a professor since 1993. They held the position of Honorary Principal Fellow at the School of Mathematics and Statistics at The University of Melbourne from 2020 to 2021. Between 2014 and 2017, Mark served as Academic Director of First Year Student Initiatives, overseeing various programs aimed at supporting students' transitions to university life. Additionally, they were the Undergraduate Chair of Mathematics and President of the UBC Faculty Association during the same period. Mark's engagement also included serving as a member of the UBC Board of Governors.
