Robert Rohling

Professor, Mechanical Engineering

Robert Rohling is a professor at the University of British Columbia and co-founder of both Sonic Incytes and Sonus Microsystems. They began their career in industry as an engineer, later transitioning to academia where they taught and directed multiple programs, including the Biomedical Engineering Program. With a PhD in Information Engineering from the University of Cambridge, Robert is dedicated to advancing technology in healthcare through collaborative research and entrepreneurship. Outside of their professional endeavors, Robert enjoys hiking, camping, and skiing with family, often sharing humor along the way.
