Roar Skålvik

Roar Skålvik has a diverse work experience, starting in 1991 as a Trainee at Oslo Lysverker Teledivisjonen. Roar then worked as a BSS specialist and Network planner at NetCom GSM as, where they were involved in the rollout of GPRS and site location of the UMTS node. Skålvik worked as a Product Manager VAS at TDC, responsible for establishing the IN-node in TDC Norway. Roar then joined Carrot Communications ASA as the Head of Customer Service and Project Delivery Department, leading development projects and achieving PCI Certification. Skålvik later joined Verizon Enterprise Solutions as a Service Program Manager, where they played a governance and consultative role, developing and executing the company's service strategy. Roar then moved to Huawei Technologies as the Vice Director of Delivery Management and finally to UBConnect, where they held positions as the Director of Mobile & Fiber and as the Director of Corporate Functions.

Roar Skålvik obtained an Engineer degree in Tele- and Radiocommunications from Sør-Trøndelag University College (HiST) from 1993 to 1996. In terms of primary education, Skålvik attended Gran skole from 1978 to 1987, but no specific degree or field of study is mentioned. Additionally, Skålvik has acquired several additional certifications - ITIL V3 Intermediate - Continual Service Improvement from Olingo in June 2012, Lean Six Sigma Yellow Belt from Verizon - Chris Kimm, VSO Vice-President Network Operations EMEA & ASIA in October 2011, and ITIL V3 Foundation from EXIN in December 2010.
