Adib Roumani serves as the Director of Engineering for Uber’s Mobility Verticals Group, leading initiatives focused on enhancing experiences for Riders and Drivers since October 2018. Prior to this role, Adib was the Software Development Manager at Amazon, overseeing teams that developed the consumer browser AWS Silk from June 2014 to August 2018. Adib also held the position of Team Lead for Software Loading Infrastructure Engineering at BlackBerry from June 2010 to May 2014, managing a development team responsible for core services and mobile computing efforts. Earlier experience includes founding and presiding over WorkPlayMobile, a company dedicated to creating modern applications, and serving as Chief Developer at Compuscope Consulting, where web-based software solutions were developed. Adib began a career in technology with an internship as a Software Development Engineer at BlackBerry Mobile, where development of web interfaces for OS updates took place. Adib earned a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from the University of Toronto.
