Alyf Janmohamed

Alyf Janmohamed is an Applied Scientist at Uber, where they focus on growing UberX Share in new verticals and building the next generation matching algorithm. Previously, as a Quantitative Trading Analyst at RBC Capital Markets, Alyf improved algorithmic trading strategies using machine learning and led the development of a deep reinforcement learning algorithm that executed over $1 billion in trades. Alyf has also contributed to important research during their PhD candidacy at Cornell University, where they designed methods for evaluating charging solutions for electric micro-mobility systems and assisted in COVID-19 modeling. Their academic journey began with a Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering Science from the University of Toronto, where they published research on optimizing quantum dot solar cells.
