Ameya Velankar

Ameya Velankar is a seasoned marketing professional with extensive experience in brand and product marketing across various industries. Currently serving as the Head of Marketing for India South at Uber since January 2019, Ameya leads the brand marketing initiatives for Uber Eats and is part of the Global Marketing Leads team. Prior to Uber, Ameya held the position of Category Head at SC Johnson for one year and spent nearly eight years at Marico Limited in roles including Group Product Head and Brand Manager for Parachute advanced body lotion. Earlier in the career, Ameya served as an Area Manager at RPG Enterprises, managing store operations and profitability for Spencer's Retail Ltd. Ameya holds a PGDM in Sales & Marketing from the Management Development Institute, Gurgaon, and a Bachelor of Technology in Mechanical Engineering from Savitribai Phule Pune University.
