Burhan Yaman

Burhan Yaman is a staff applied scientist at Uber, specializing in advanced AI methodologies. Prior to this, Burhan served as a lead research scientist and tech lead at the Bosch Center for AI, where they directed a team focusing on the development of foundation and generative AI models. Burhan's research has garnered several accolades, including a Best Dissertation Award and multiple best paper awards for innovative work in self-supervised learning and zero-shot learning. Burhan has also held internships at Siemens Healthineers and Microsoft, contributing to projects in machine learning and medical imaging. They earned a PhD in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the University of Minnesota and a BS in Electronics and Communications Engineering from Istanbul Technical University.
