Chunyan Cai

Chunyan Cai is a data scientist currently working as a Senior Data Scientist at Uber since 2019. Previously, from 2012 to 2019, they served as an Associate Professor of Biostatistics at the University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston, where they also held the title of Assistant Professor. Chunyan has published approximately 100 papers, including 13 on statistical methodology in prominent journals. They earned a Ph.D. in Biostatistics from The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center UTHealth Graduate School of Biomedical Sciences, following a B.S. in Biology from the University of Science and Technology of China. Additionally, Chunyan was a Biostatistics Intern at Abbott Laboratories in 2011 and worked as a Graduate Research Assistant at MD Anderson Cancer Center from 2007 to 2012.
