Daniel Copeland

Daniel Copeland is a seasoned professional currently serving as the Sr. Manager and Head of Growth Safety and SMS at Uber, where they manage safety risks associated with a diverse range of new products. Previously, they held significant roles at Uber that enhanced the effectiveness of the company’s safety controls and policies, including managing global safety workstreams and developing innovative tech solutions for risk mitigation. Before their time at Uber, Daniel was involved in international development, leading evaluation teams and conducting assessments across multiple continents for organizations like MSI. Daniel earned both a BS and an MA in International Politics and International Security, respectively, from Georgetown University, graduating Magna Cum Laude.
