Daniel Heller is a seasoned engineer with extensive experience in software engineering and infrastructure development. Currently serving as a Principal Engineer at Uber since November 2014, Daniel has contributed to the platform engineering and core infrastructure teams, focusing on next-generation technologies and cross-functional leadership. Previous roles at Uber include Engineering Manager for Marketplace Continuity, where responsibility encompassed foundational infrastructure, and Senior Software Engineer roles addressing reliability and server-side software. Prior to Uber, Daniel worked at AppDynamics as a Senior Software Engineer and Tech Lead, managing backend operations for APM products, and at Apple as a Senior Kernel Engineer on the iOS Platform Kernel Team. Daniel's career began with a brief internship at Microsoft in 2006. Daniel holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science-Mathematics from Brown University.
