Danni Lu is an accomplished data scientist and applied scientist with substantial expertise in statistical modeling and transportation planning. With experience at Virginia Tech Transportation Institute as a research assistant, Danni developed a deep learning-based Bayesian causal inference framework for crash risk estimation and conducted network analysis on crash risk factors. Following a tenure as a data scientist intern at Genentech, where a Bayesian model was created to enhance evaluation of subjects' longitudinal profiles, Danni joined Uber, initially as an applied scientist working with the Road Safety and Insurance team and currently serving as a senior applied scientist. Danni holds a Ph.D. in Statistics from Virginia Tech and a Ph.D. in Transportation Planning and Management from Tongji University, complemented by a Bachelor's degree in Mathematics from Fudan University.
