Eric Chen is a seasoned technology leader specializing in scalable machine learning infrastructure and big data algorithms. They held the role of Engineering Manager II at Uber from 2015 to 2019, managing the Michelangelo-core team and contributing as a founding engineer of Michelangelo. Following this, Eric served as Cofounder & CTO of a stealth mode company from 2019 to 2020, focusing on production-ready ML serving solutions. Currently, they are a Sr Manager, Engineering at Uber, where they are building an extensible ML ecosystem. Eric earned a Ph.D. in Computer Science from the University of Waterloo, along with a Master's and an honors degree in the same field.
