Eric Koepcke

Eric Koepcke is a Ph.D. economist and data scientist currently serving as an Applied Scientist II at Uber and an Adjunct Assistant Professor of Business at Columbia Business School, teaching MBA Game Theory. Previously, Eric worked as a Data Scientist for the New York City Council, utilizing data to generate insights for policymakers. Eric holds a Ph.D. in economics from the University of California, Berkeley, where they also served as a Research Assistant and Graduate Student Instructor. Their earlier experience includes roles at The Brookings Institution as a Senior Research Assistant, where they contributed to published research on the US workplace retirement system, and coding and analysis work during their studies at both Berkeley and the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
