Fabio Sousa is currently a Senior Counsel specializing in Privacy and Cybersecurity at Uber, a position held since 2017. Previously, from 2014 to 2016, Fabio worked as a Lawyer in Data Protection, IP & IT, and spent time as a Senior Advisor for EY focusing on Cyber Security and Data Privacy from 2016 to 2017. Early in their career, Fabio advised companies and start-ups as a Data Protection, IP & IT Legal Advisor from 2012 to 2014 and gained experience as a Trainee Lawyer as well as an intern in civil and criminal court. Fabio holds a Bachelor's degree in Law from Universidade do Minho and a Master’s in ICT Law from the same institution, in addition to completing Executive Training on Foundations of Government Information Leadership from the International Institute for Software Technology.
