Fengnan Li

Fengnan Li is an experienced technology professional currently working as an Engineering Manager at Uber since February 2018, following a role as a Software Engineer within the Hadoop HDFS team. Since June 2021, Fengnan has also been a Hadoop Committer at The Apache Software Foundation. Previously, Fengnan was a Software Engineer at Thumbtack focusing on monetization and marketplace trust and safety from December 2016 to February 2018, and at Quantcast in the Ad Reporting Team from July 2013 to December 2016, engaging in data and backend/full stack development. Early career experiences include internships at BlackRock, where a tool for validating files was developed, and at EMC, where a SAN design tool was created. Fengnan holds a Master’s degree in Computer and Information Sciences from the University of Pennsylvania and a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Software Engineering from East China Normal University.
