George Polak

George Polak is an Engineering Manager at Uber, where they have worked since 2017. They previously held senior engineering roles at companies like Skyhook Wireless and Uber, contributing to key projects such as the location backend system for early iPhones. Before their time at Uber, George was the founder of rev 99, LLC, where they created the successful Fargate iPhone app. Their career began with a software developer position during a long-term internship at BlackBerry, followed by a role at Namzak Labs, where they focused on mobile presence products. George holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Engineering from Queen's University, completed in 2004.
