Heying Zhang

Heying (Doris) Zhang is a Senior Software Engineer at Uber since March 2018, serving as the Tech Lead for the Search as a Service Initiative, which addresses 90% of Uber's search use cases. Zhang played a key role in developing Uber's in-house, Lucene-based search engine to manage large-scale real-time data ingestion and customization for various business segments, including Eats, Maps, and Freight. Prior experience includes a tenure at Oracle from June 2013 to February 2018 as a Senior Member of Technical Staff, focusing on application development for the Oracle Content and Experience Cloud Service and Oracle WebCenter Portal. Zhang holds a Master's degree in Information Technology from Carnegie Mellon University and has a background from Zhejiang University.
