Jayesh Kapoor

Jayesh Kapoor is an experienced engineering leader with a robust background in technology and product management. Currently serving as Director of Engineering at Uber since July 2017, Jayesh leads a team dedicated to developing the technology platform supporting Uber's marketing efforts, focusing on problems such as ad spend optimization through advanced data management and machine learning. Previously, as Senior Director of Engineering at Post Intelligence from February 2012 to June 2017, Jayesh managed backend and AI engineering teams, creating a real-time display ad auction system known as "header bidding" and developing a data pipeline for a significant social media advertising platform. Jayesh has also held engineering leadership roles at Emptoris, Click Commerce, Elance, BroadBand Office, and Deloitte Consulting, with a foundation in mechanical engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay.
