Jin Sun

Jin Sun is a Senior Engineering Manager at Uber, leading the Machine Learning Platform (Michelangelo) team since October 2015, focusing on the development of autonomous vehicle technologies and the creation of a Generative AI gateway. Jin Sun has spearheaded multiple initiatives to enhance the next generation of machine learning developer experiences at Uber, covering various aspects such as control plane, ML monorepo, training, evaluation, monitoring, and LLM fine-tuning. In 2017, Jin Sun contributed to The Apache Software Foundation as an Apache Pig Contributor by implementing the NestedSortedLimit Optimizer. Jin Sun served as a Teaching Assistant for machine learning courses at Carnegie Mellon University while holding a Master of Science in Computer Engineering from the institution and Bachelor's degrees in Electrical and Electronics Engineering and Information Technology from Stevens Institute of Technology and Beijing Institute of Technology, respectively.
