Joseph Dean is a highly experienced software engineer with a strong background in mapping technologies and algorithms. Joseph has worked at Esri as part of the network analysis team, focusing on routing algorithms from August 2012 to September 2014. Following this, Joseph joined Apple in September 2014, contributing to the Maps Vector team by developing scalable systems for serving map data until January 2019. Currently, Joseph serves as a Staff Software Engineer at Uber, leading the Map Display team and overseeing the development of cross-platform SDKs and vector map tile generation since January 2019.
