Jovanka Balać is an experienced manager with a strong background in program management and employee development, currently leading the Technical Onboarding Training Team at Uber since November 2018. Balać has developed and managed programs to support engineers transitioning to managerial roles, and has successfully executed comprehensive onboarding initiatives for new managers. Prior to Uber, Balać was a program manager at GSA, where significant employee development programs were created to enhance agency culture. Additional experience includes involvement in a presidential transition team and community development work in Romania with the Peace Corps. Balać holds a MA in International Relations from University College Dublin and a B.S. in Retail Business from Indiana University Bloomington.
