Long Sun

Long Sun is an accomplished ML Engineering Leader at Uber, with experience since July 2017 in building machine learning solutions for risk, identity, cyber security, and credit risk. In addition to this role, Long serves as an advisor on machine learning for Cardless since October 2020. Prior experience includes leading projects at Experian DataLabs from December 2014 to June 2017, where Long oversaw the development of machine learning products focused on credit risk, cyber security, and fraud detection. Long also worked at FICO from January 2011 to December 2014, specializing in artificial neural networks for credit and debit card fraud detection. Long holds a Ph.D. in Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering from UC San Diego and dual degrees (BA & MS) in Engineering from Southeast University.
