Mark Yen

Mark Yen is a seasoned engineering leader with significant experience in the tech industry. Currently serving as a Senior Engineering Manager at Uber since December 2023, Mark leads engineering for Delivery Matching, enhancing the efficiency of the marketplace. Prior to this role, Mark was the Climate Core Engineering Lead at Watershed, overseeing teams that developed foundational carbon accounting systems. Mark also held the position of Head of Platform Engineering at Sisu, focusing on data-intensive systems, and was a founding engineer at Uber's Advanced Technologies Group, contributing to self-driving vehicle technologies. Mark's experience includes software engineering roles at Getco LLC, Twitter, Barclays Capital, VMware, Thomson Reuters, and Metron, demonstrating a strong foundation in software development and engineering. Mark earned both a Master of Engineering and a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
