Matt Welsh is an experienced professional in data science and analytics, currently serving in an Applied Science role at Uber since October 2025. Prior to this, Matt was the Head of Data Science and Analytics Engineering at Next Insurance from May 2021 to October 2025, also holding the position of Data Science Director for Marketing and Growth. At Facebook, from August 2016 to May 2021, Matt managed Decision Science, leading a global team focused on brand advertising measurement. Matt's career began at Citrix, where multiple roles included leading marketing analytics and predictive modeling initiatives from June 2009 to August 2016. Earlier experiences include consulting at Hewlett Packard Enterprise and Knightsbridge Solutions, along with an internship at Pratt & Whitney. Matt holds a Master's degree in Predictive Analytics from Northwestern University and a Bachelor's degree in Engineering from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign.
