Maz Motahari

Maz Motahari is a highly experienced data science leader with a robust background in analytics, risk management, and engineering. Currently serving as Head of Data Science & Analytics at Uber since April 2020, Maz manages a large team of over 100 professionals, delivering machine learning models and data solutions. Prior to this, Maz was the Vice President of Data Science & Analytics at Samba TV, leading a team of 55 in utilizing extensive TV data. Earlier career highlights include roles as Senior Director of Data Science and Director of Data Science at Facebook, and Manager of Global Risk Policy at PayPal. Educationally, Maz holds a PhD in Engineering from Caltech, a Master’s in Engineering from Stanford University, and additional credentials from the CFA Institute.
