Michael Raney

Michael Raney has extensive experience in the insurance sector, currently serving as Head of International Insurance and Head of Latin America Insurance at Uber since November 2016, overseeing insurance programs across Latin America and the Caribbean. Prior to this role, Michael Raney was the President of Michael Raney Associates, LLC, providing general insurance strategy consulting and market research for Latin America. Michael Raney held significant leadership positions at Zurich Latin America, first as Chief Executive Officer for the Corporate Customer business segment from May 2011 to December 2015, and previously as Chief Underwriting Officer from March 2006 to May 2011, managing product and portfolio management, actuarial pricing, risk engineering, and reinsurance. Academically, Michael Raney holds an MBA from UCLA Anderson School of Management and a B.A. in Spanish Language & Literature from Kenyon College.
