Minji Lee

Minji Lee is an experienced data science leader with a comprehensive background in applied science, analytics, and marketplace optimization. Currently serving as the Director and Head of Applied and Data Science at Uber Freight since January 2020, Minji leads a team of approximately 50 professionals. Prior experience includes a role as Senior Data Science Manager at KeepTruckin, where Minji built and led Marketplace/Pricing Data Science teams, and as Lead Data Scientist at rideOS, focusing on solutions for ride-hailing and self-driving car operations. Additionally, Minji worked as a Marketplace Optimization Data Scientist at Uber, directing initiatives related to time estimation and developing machine learning models. Early career experience includes a tenure as a Data Scientist at The World Bank, contributing to the International Comparison Program. Minji holds a Bachelor's degree from Seoul National University and is a PhD dropout from Stanford University.
