Qi Nie

Qi Nie is currently the Risk & Fraud Lead - EMEA at Uber, where they focus on risk modeling and metrics monitoring. Previously, Qi served as a Data Scientist in risk modeling at Uber, where notable projects included a rider clustering model that prevented significant fraud losses across 80+ countries, and ongoing work in phishing message detection using NLP algorithms. Qi's experience extends to roles at Microsoft as a Program Manager Intern and as a Data Engineer Intern at News Corp, where they developed data management tools and pipelines. Qi holds a Bachelor of Engineering with Honors in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from the University of Sydney.
