Roderick Yao has extensive experience in the technology sector, currently serving as Senior Staff Tech Lead Manager at Uber from August 2024 to March 2025. Prior to this role, Roderick worked at Slack as a Senior Staff Software Engineer and Software Architect from April 2022 to September 2024. At Google, from December 2016 to April 2022, Roderick held the position of Staff, Strategic Cloud Engineer, where responsibilities included acting as Chief Data Architect for significant migration programs and establishing global data lake migration services. Earlier experience includes roles at Cloudera as a Senior Solutions Consultant and at Attivio as a Software Engineer focused on natural language processing and data pipelines. Roderick holds a Master’s degree in Information Technology from Bentley University and a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from South China University of Technology.
