Vanya K. is an applied scientist at Uber, working on pricing in the Direct & Connect team. They have a keen interest in applied causal inference, digital platforms, and the use of modern machine learning in demand estimation. Vanya previously held roles as a research intern at Ellington Management Group and co-founded DataNerds AI, where they focused on demand estimation and computer vision solutions. They earned a Bachelor's degree, a Master's degree, and are currently pursuing a PhD in Economics at Yale University.
