Xinli Shang is a seasoned engineering leader with extensive experience in data infrastructure and software engineering. Currently serving as a Senior Engineering Manager at Uber since August 2017, Xinli has spearheaded the development of a large-scale Kafka deployment to enhance real-time data processing for ride and delivery services. Previous roles at Uber include leading the design of encryption architectures and cost-efficient data solutions, significantly improving infrastructure performance and compliance. Prior to Uber, Xinli worked at Amazon, where a notable project involved reducing latency for AWS S3 by 75%. Xinli's career began at Microsoft, contributing to the Big Data Platform Team with the development of a log search solution for the Skype department.
