Xu Shen

Xu Shen is a Machine Learning Engineer at Uber, focusing on Autonomous Mobility & Delivery since May 2025. Prior to this role, Xu served as a Senior Mechanical / AI Engineer at WideSense from July 2023 to May 2025, where responsibilities included building end-to-end data pipelines and machine learning systems for electric vehicle fleets. Xu also held positions at the University of California, Berkeley as a Graduate Student Researcher and mentor for MEng Capstone Projects, and worked as a Research Intern at Carnegie Mellon University and an intern at the University of California, Santa Barbara. Xu earned a PhD and an MS in Mechanical Engineering from the University of California, Berkeley, and a Bachelor of Engineering from Tsinghua University.
