UBeU is building a decentralized peer-to-peer market for HNS domain owners to manage and monetize their assets. UBeU will initially focus on HNS domains of “surnames” and the market for digital identity tokens. These are the tokenized subdomains of secondary-level domains (SLDs) of “surnames” (i.e., ‘smith.hbar,’ ‘baird.hbar’, etc.) and take the form ‘firstname.lastname.hbar.’ (i.e. ‘mike.smith.hbar,’ ‘leemon.baird.hbar’). Digital identity tokens can be considered a digital extension of a user as they interact and transact with dApps, services and resources throughout the Hedera ecosystem. They serve as the touchpoint of a self-sovereign Web3 digital identity forming the basis for log-in credentials, usernames, and account aliases.
