Grady Chen has a diverse work experience in the software engineering field. Grady started their career in 2000 at Openfind Inc., where they designed a PKI solution for webmail using OpenSSL and implemented Proxy Server and Proxy Client using Perl script. From 2003 to 2005, they worked at MSI - Micro-star International CO., Ltd., where they trained the software team in China and designed a diagnostic program to help the manufacturing line.
In 2005, Grady joined Ambarella Taiwan Ltd., where they trained customers in H.264 streaming and assisted customers with Ambarella reference IPCam SDK. Grady then worked at Viosoft Corporation as a Software Engineer from 2011 to 2014, porting U-boot to MIPS Malta board, developing a demo system on MIPS development board using Skype SDK, and working on an AMD openCL project.
Grady returned to Ubiquiti Networks in 2014 as a Software Engineer, where they ported Ambarella IPcam SDK to OpenWRT build system, designed a two-stage boot loader, and worked on BSP level software. Grady had another stint at Viosoft Corporation from 2016 to 2018, specializing in NFVi/NFV performance characterization, MQTT porting based on mTCP, and RISCV development for Intel FPGA Arria 10. Most recently, Grady has been working at Ubiquiti Networks as a Software Engineer since 2018.
Grady Chen obtained their Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from Soochow University, which they attended from 1992 to 1996. Following this, they pursued a Master's degree in the Department of Electrical Engineering at the National Taiwan University of Science and Technology from 1996 to 1998.
