Ian Cheng

Ian Cheng is a seasoned security professional with extensive experience in governance, risk, and compliance, currently serving as Security Manager at Ubisoft since October 2018, where leadership of an international team encompasses regulatory privacy compliance, contract negotiations, policy management, and industry compliance. Prior roles include NCSA Information Security Team Lead and Information Security Specialist with a focus on privacy. Before joining Ubisoft, Ian was a Security Consultant at TELUS, developing threat detection capabilities, and also served as a Business Analyst within TELUS' Chief Security Office. Ian's career began at BackCheck, where responsibilities included criminal records analysis and coordinating translation efforts. Ian Cheng holds a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from Concordia University and is pursuing a Global Professional Master of Laws at the University of Toronto Faculty of Law.
