Axel Maier is a technology executive with extensive experience in executive program and technical delivery management, particularly in liquidity risk and management systems. Axel held the position of Senior IT Consultant at Ontrix GmbH from 2005 to 2009, and subsequently served as Finance System Manager at Nycomed until 2010. From 2010 to 2019, Axel worked as a Direktor in Group Treasury IT at UBS, and currently holds the role of Executive Director - Head of Liquidity & Funding IT within the same company. Axel is pursuing degrees in Informatik from both the University of Cape Town and Centro Politecnico Superior Zaragoza, having previously obtained a Diplom in Informatik with a focus on International Project Engineering from Fachhochschule Konstanz.
